Founded by Stéphanie Habib in 2012, Araruna Filmes is an independent production company dedicated to audiovisual works shaped by purpose and positive impact.

Recognized and awarded, the company places sustainability at the core of its creative vision and production practice.

 

Environmentally Responsible Productions: Green Cinema

While working at Bossa Nova Films, Stéphanie Habib received training in Green Cinema and went on to incorporate these sustainable production practices into all of Araruna’s films.

Through fiction and documentary, the company creates films that combine artistic vision with meaningful storytelling, engaging with social, human, and environmental issues.

At Araruna Filmes, sustainability is not only a theme — it is part of its cinematic language.

YVYRUPA JARAGUÁ: The Sacred Land of Tekoa Itakupe

Mini-documentary defending the right of the Tekoa Itakupe village, of the Guarani people, to the free and ancestral occupation of the Jaraguá territory, breaking through the imposed borders over a land that carries memory, identity, and belonging. The film reveals the difficult struggle for survival and resistance of an Indigenous people who continue to affirm their existence, their culture, and their sacred bond with the territory.
